Lunch'n Explore: Making the Foreign Less Foreign

Event Description: The Under-Told Stories Project has taken PBS Newshour viewers to 65 countries for stories that are often under-reported in mainstream media outlets. Its challenge is to direct American eyes to the daily concerns of far away people who increasingly affect our lives. The Project works to expand, sustain and improve coverage of the world outside America in broadcast, print and emerging new media outlets.  Fred de Sam Lazaro, veteran PBS NewsHour correspondent and Project executive director, will lead us on an audio-visual journey of the Project’s work.

Event Information: Friday, October 27, 2017, 11:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Opus Hall Room 201, University of St. Thomas Minneapolis Campus
