Duties of the President

  • Shall have the power to vote only in the case of a tie vote and shall only have one vote
  • Act as the official host and representative of RHA in campus functions
  • Represent the concerns of RHA to USG, as the RHA Representative
  • Be responsible for implementing legislation enacted by RHA
  • Preside over meetings of RHA and the Executive Board
  • Shall serve as the primary liaison from RHA to the administration of the University
  • Shall oversee violation of attendance policy meetings, along with the V.P of Operations.  
  • Shall have the power to call an emergency RHA and/or E-Board meeting with a 24-hour notice
  • Shall have the power to appoint a task force or committee whenever necessary
  • Shall have meetings when necessary with Hall Representatives pertaining to RHA
  • Shall attend the Student Leader Luncheon each month.
  • Shall discuss the results of the RHA assessment(s) each semester
  • Shall be responsible for reserving room space for the Tuesday night RHA meetings.
  • Shall be responsible for conducting assessments of RHA on a semester basis.

Duties of the Vice President of Operations

  • Shall have one vote in RHA
  • Shall preside over meetings in the absence of the President
  • Shall perform the duties of Parliamentarian of the President
  • Shall keep updated roster of RHA
  • Shall record and distribute agendas to the RHA members
  • Shall record and distribute meeting minutes to RHA members
  • Shall keep records of attendance at the RHA Meetings and oversee violation of attendance policy meetings, along with President
  • Shall plan and execute the RHA retreats.
  •  Shall keep an updated copy of the RHA Executive Board Constitution and all the Halls Governing Documents
  • Shall be responsible for checking the RHA voicemail
  • Shall have access to the individual hall constitutions at any given time
  • Shall be responsible for ordering office supplies
  • Shall plan and execute both the fall and spring end of semester banquets
  • Shall be responsible for checking the RHA Post Office mail box
  • Shall be responsible for making the Executive Board name tags and the RHA placards.

Duties of the Vice President of Public Relations

  • Shall have one vote in RHA
  • Shall be responsible for organizing and carrying out the election process for all RHA elected positions
  • Shall be responsible for organizing the application and selection process for the Executive Board
  • Shall be responsible for monitoring all campaigns to see that policies are adhered to-
  • Shall be responsible for the RHBO movie selection.       
  • Shall be responsible for updating and maintaining the RHA website-
  • Shall be responsible for the maintenance of technology
  • Shall be responsible for ordering of promotional items.
  • Shall be responsible for branding RHA through the consultation and approval of the Executive Board
  • Shall be responsible for reserving MHC Atrium, ASC atrium and Koch Fireside space for displaying upcoming programs
  • Shall be responsible for all Service Center orders
  • Shall be responsible for ordering of T-shirts
  • Shall oversee the RHA email account and notify appropriate personnel of any pertinent emails.

Duties of the Vice President of Financial Operations

  • Shall have one vote in RHA
  • Shall keep financial records of the RHA Executive Board
  • Shall work with the Advisor and President on the RHA Executive Board budget each semester
  • Shall make deposits, pay RHA bills, and fill out reimbursement forms
  • The Hall Councils will set up their own budgets with their Advisors, but can use the VP of Financial Operations as a resource at any time
  • Shall oversee any co-op funding process and relay any necessary information, to the hall council requesting co-op, about moving funding appropriately.
  • Shall coordinate and execute the On Campus Marketing (OCM) care packages
  • Shall make sure that in the event of an Executive Board member leaving, pay is terminated for the individual
  • Shall make sure that in the event of the hiring of a new Executive Board member, ensuring payment for the new Executive Board member
  • Shall be responsible for ensuring that UST purchasing policy is followed for all RHA purchases.

Duties of the Vice Presidents of Programming

  • Each shall have one vote in RHA
  • Shall coordinate, plan, and execute multiple events per semester that are attractive to a wide variety of students living on campus.
  • Shall coordinate, plan, and execute RHA’s collaborative fall and spring events
  • Shall coordinate RHA’s participation and attendance at the Fall and Spring Activities Fair.
  • Shall attend PCC chat rooms on the regional level
  • Shall attend the MACURH and No Frills conference and participate in the PCC boardroom. If needed, a proxy may be sent in your name

Duties of the National Communications Coordinator (NCC)

  • Shall have one vote in RHA
  • Shall be responsible for correspondence with NACURH and MACURH, through participation in NCC chats
  • Shall attend the MACURH, No Frills, and NACURH conferences. If needed, a proxy may be sent in your name. 
  • Shall be responsible for providing conference information to RHA, prior to the conference. 
  • Shall be in charge of the application and review process for all conference attendees. 
  • Shall present all of the information gathered from the conference and provide an overall recap to RHA.  
  • Shall be responsible for putting together bids
  • The NCC’s term starts the day after NACURH and ends the day after NACURH the following year
  • Shall coordinate and oversee service projects conducted by RHA
  • Shall be responsible for the administration of the RHA email account.
