As Selby Hall president, I would work to create a stronger community amongst the residents. I would also work to enhance the traditional hall events, as well as set up new events. Working with the residents would also be of great importance, for me, in order to enhance the living environment of all residents. My experience as the V.P. of Administration will also help me to organize events and to advertise them. My work would also include greater involvement among the residents of Selby Hall.

Hello, I am running for one of the V.P. positions of Selby Hall. I have decided to move up to Selby for my sophomore year because of the great people that live there, the great living conditions and because of the fun events that get put on. During my freshman year I served on the Cretin/Grace council as the V.P. of Programming. I helped RHA put on such great events like Haunted Cretin, the Spring Soiree, and South of the Border. I hope to have fun putting on great events for Selby if elected. Thank you for your time.

 

Nellie Swanson, Junior

It is critical to be a positive role model at St. Thomas; I would be able to accomplish this by becoming a part of the Selby Hall Council for 2008-2009. I desire to encourage my peers to actively participate in all of the great events, and service opportunities that are offered. This will increase my Tommie Pride, and build my excitement for being a leader on campus. I hope that next year, residents will be enthused to become a part of the community, and I hope that I can be the one who serves as a voice for Selby Hall.
