Dowling Hall Election Form

Hall Representative Election for DOWLING Hall residents

Hall Representative Candidates

Molly Baatz- Freshman

My goals this year if I were to be elected Hall Rep C, (marketing activities) would be to put Dowling Hall a little more on the map here at UST. When you went on a tour here, the tour guide probably mentioned the famous snowball fight between Ireland and Brady; did they say and “famous” events that Dowling has? An idea of mine would be “Cooking for Charity,” more to be explained later.

I believe that Dowling is the greatest housing facility for freshman and sophomore girls; which leads me to my next goal of making sure that the students of UST know this. I am very organized and plan well; I will get the job done right.

Jordan Beyer- Freshman

Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get. But if you vote for me, I can promise you that I will be the best Dowling RHA yet. I’ve got that rock and roll, and one heck of a creativity flow. My name is Jordan Beyer, and I’m not your average Joe. I am responsible, hard working, and my ideas will make you go “wow”. I hope to bring us all together, ya, I’ve got that boom boom pow!

Grace Famestad- Freshman

This year, my main goal as a Hall Representative would be is to serve as a voice for our Dowling Hall community. As a voice for Dowling, I would work to improve the quality of life and learn in the dorm. I would also like to create a social environment here so that everyone would feel welcome and a part of our Dowling community.

Jenna Gullickson- Freshman

We are currently living in a building of 400 girls and I feel like we need more opportunities to get to know some of the girls from other floors through fun and creative activities. I want Dowling to be a place where you know tons of girls on each floor because we are just that close! I have lots of fun ideas for getting to know the girls I will be living with and hope to get to be a part of representing the freshman dorm that has the most fun!

Madeline Kapler- Freshman

I’ve lived in Dowling for just over a week and I already feel at home. Everyone is so amazingly great and I have yet to meet a resident who is unfriendly.  I want to be on RHA to help and represent each one of these wonderful Dowling residents. If I were to be on RHA, I would take the time to listen and understand the issues in our dorm in order to help resolve them, propose activities that would be fun and entertaining and allow us to get to know each other better, and fully devote myself to this commitment.  I hope that by the end of this year each and every one of us has fond memories of dorm life and loves Dowling!

Jessica Root- Freshman

Hello everyone, my name is Jessica Root! I am a freshman this year from Roseville, MN and I live in Dowling 1 North. I am running for a position on RHA (Residence Hall Association). I would make a great representative because I am very dedicated, open minded, and I’m creative and would be able to come up with some awesome activities for out hall to participate in. I am extremely excited and would make a fantastic choice for the position! Thanks so much for your time and vote for me J.

Elizabeth Tang- Freshman

My goal as a hall representative is to help plan events that will help students interact with other students—not just the ones down the hall or upstairs, but others in our general community of St. Thomas. I want to share a common goal with others like me who want to come up with ideas, share them and expand on them to create an exciting alternate choice for weekend activity with help from others. I love hearing new ideas from new people and would love the chance to put it all together with other motivated students.

Katie Zillmer- Freshman

As a hall representative, I intend to be a reliable delegate for our lovely hall: Dowling. My goal is to counter the lack of hall council enthusiasm from last year. In order to accomplish this, I will help provide numerous opportunities to increase the number of hall events by furnishing ideas and advertising the plans well in advance so that everyone can anticipate the event and, thus, attend it. I would love to make the events diverse so as to appeal to everyone with at least one activity.
