Residence Halls at the University of St Thomas offer a variety of positions in which you can get involved, voice your opinion, meet new people, and have some fun! It's a proven fact that students who take a more active part in their college experience generally do better in school and are more satisfied overall.
 

Student Leadership Positions

In the residence halls, we have leadership positions that directly interact and program on our floor section for our students.  These positions are hired with our overall Student Leadership Selection which can be done online starting in December of 2009 for the 2010-2011 academic year.  These positions include Resident Advisors and Apartment Coordinators as well as Koch Desk positions.  Please check back for a link when the

2010-2011 Operations Manager Information

Students interested in applying for Operations Manager positions in our residence halls should check out the position description and then if interested, apply online using the Human Resources Website.  Applications will only be accepted through this manner.

Night Access and Desk Worker Positions

These positions are hired in the spring for the following academic year.  Information regarding hiring for these positions is usually available in April.

Desk Workers are responsible for checking out vacuums, tools, kitchen supplies, and kitchen keys,  answering phones, answering general questions, and some opening and closing duties.  This position is supervised by the Operations Managers and Hall/Area Directors of the halls.

Night Access Attendants report to the Operations Managers for the hall in which they work. This position will provide a visible source of security within the halls during evening hours. They are responsible for checking and requesting proper ID of every person who enters the halls from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. and informing Resident Advisors and Public Safety of suspicious individuals or behaviors.

Hall Council Positions - Residence Hall Association (RHA)

The Residence Hall Association (RHA) serves as a unified voice for residents. They provide an open forum for addressing requests, concerns, and issues while acting as a liaison between residents and the university.
