Graduation/Participation

Each year the University of St. Thomas conducts commencement ceremonies in May and December. Undergraduate students who have completed their degree requirements will receive an email from the Registrar’s Office notifying them of their eligibility to participate in the next scheduled ceremony.   Information about the graduation process is sent to prospective graduates each term*. (Note: Graduate students will apply for graduation through their respective division.)  Click here to view information on the commencement ceremony.

*Undergraduate students that have 8 or less credits to complete after this term may participate in the upcoming commencement ceremony.  If interested, please complete the Exception Request Application to Participate in the UG Commencement Ceremony.  Click here for instructions.

Diplomas & Official Transcripts with Degree Awarded

• Diplomas are mailed to both baccalaureate and master’s graduates after all requirements have been verified as complete. Please allow six to eight weeks for receipt following the ceremony. 
• Diplomas will not be released to graduates who have unsatisfactory financial accounts with the university.
• The Degree Awarded date on an official transcript may take 2-3 weeks to post after the term has ended.  Please check your un-official transcript via Murphy Online before requesting an official transcript.
