Campus Violence
The University of St. Thomas is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for faculty, staff, students and visitors. Therefore, acts or threats of physical violence including intimidation, harassment or coercion will not be tolerated.
Threats or acts of violence occurring on campus should be reported to the Department of Public Safety, 651-(96)2-5100. The University of St. Thomas advocates a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy. Therefore, threats or acts of violence will lead to disciplinary and/or legal action.
Things Persons Should Keep In Mind If They Are Subjected To An Act Of Violence:

The goal is your safety

Obtain description of assailant

Report the incident or threat immediately to Public Safety or Human Resources

Avoid the area

Escape
-
Use available cover
-
Don’t panic
-
Surrender property
-
If there is an injury, call Public Safety at 651-(96)2-5555
What Will Happen Next ?

An investigation will be conducted by Public Safety, Human Resources, the Dean’s Office, Residence Life, or all of these departments.
