Theories and procedures of counseling and psychotherapy are discussed, including psychoanalysis, client-centered therapy, cognitive therapy, behavior therapy, and others. Prerequisites: PSYC 301 and three psychology courses or permission of the instructor

Interests:
     Dr. Braswell is a child clinical psychologist who has worked in hospital, school,
     and clinic settings.  Her research has focused on cognitive-behavioral treatments
     for children and school-based interventions for children with Attention Deficit-
     Hyperactivity Disorder.  She has conducted numerous workshops for parent and
     professional groups on these topics.
