Registering Your Bicycle Promotes Theft Deterrence

Increase the chances that your bike will not be stolen
After registering your bicycle, you will receive a University of St. Thomas registration sticker to attach to the frame of the bicycle. This will be a visible marker, indicating that the bike has been registered, thereby deterring theft.

Your registration information will be stored in a database with the Public Safety Department, so if something happens to your bike, registration increases the likelihood that you will be notified.

Don’t make your bike an easy one to steal
Inexpensive locks and cables make it easy for thieves to have a good day. Some thieves carry small, easily concealed, tools that can break small cables and inexpensive locks. Consider spoiling their fun with a heavy-duty lock and cable. Make your investment in security equipment worthy of the value of your bicycle and it's value to you.
