ELIGIBILITY:
North and South Campus Residence Parking Permits
Juniors, Seniors, Grad Students :
All juniors, seniors, and grad students will be allowed to purchase a
northor south campus permit provided they fill out a lottery form and
submit it before the deadline date. Students entering after the deadline
are NOT guaranteed a permit.
Sophomores :
The remaining permits, as parking space allows, will be awarded to those
sophomores who complete and submit a lottery form by the deadline date.
Freshmen:
Freshmen are not eligible for parking permits.
Ramp Contracts
A limited number of ramp contracts will be awarded on a
lottery basis for the 2007/2008 academic year. All resident students are
eligible for ramp contracts. They will not be awarded based on class
standing.
ENTERING THE LOTTERY:
Option 1 :
Fill out and return a lottery form to the Department of Public Safety
and Parking Services by the deadline date.
Option 2 :
Go to
www.stthomas.edu/psps/ and
submit an entry online by the deadline date.
The form must be filled out completely. Indicate which
residence hall you will be living in for the 2007/2008 academic year.
Indicate what your class standing will be as of December 17, 2007. This
information will be checked against the records at the Office of the
Registrar at the end of December. You will not be entered in the lottery
if class standing information is incorrect
Forms need to be delivered to Public Safety – 1st floor
Morrison Hall or Parking Services- 2119 Grand Ave., faxed to (651)
962-7280, mailed to Parking Services at mail # 19G 2115 Summit Ave, St
Paul MN, 55105, -or submitted online via the website listed above.
LOTTERY RESULTS:
The results for the lotteries will be posted online at
www.stthomas.edu/psps/
by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday,
December 19! These results will be posted in a list format according to
your Banner ID number.
PURCHASING YOUR PERMIT OR RAMP CONTRACT:
Should you be selected in any lottery that you enter,
you will have until 11:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8th to purchase your
permit or contract. Failure to do so by this date will result in your
space being re-entered into future lotteries. Permits can be purchased
at the Public Safety Office – 1s floor Morrison Hall. Ticketing will
resume Monday, February 4th.
You will need the following items in order to
purchase a permit/contract:
A valid UST
identification card
An accurate
license plate number
Proof of
ownership for the vehicle you register (insurance card, registration,
etc.) NOTE: Your permit is only valid for the vehicle to which it is
registered. If you drive another vehicle, you MUST exchange your permit
or obtain a temporary permit (by providing proof of ownership again).
Payment – payable by
cash, check, or by charging to your student account. |
