Interests: Most of my student-centered research projects involve optics with interdisciplinary applications. I am particularly interested in using polarized light to probe a variety of targets such as human tissues, geological samples, insect exoskeletons, objects buried in complex media, optical instruments, various types of solid surfaces, and atomic and molecular gases. I also use matrix theory to model the optical properties of these systems.
