| Introduction to physical principles and their application to astronomy for non-science majors. Emphasis is on comprehension of ideas and principles. Topics include the motions of the sun, moon, stars and planets; properties of the solar system; the stars including giants, dwarfs, pulsars and black holes; nebulae, galaxies and quasars; cosmology and life.
