Extracurricular Opportunities

Philosophy Club - A student-led organization for anyone with an interest in philosophy. The group organizes regular, lunch-time talks around important contemporary issues.

Quaerentes Veritatem (The Truth Seekers) - An interdisciplinary group interested in discussing the intersection of life and thought with faith.

Philosophy Colloquium Series - A series of lunch-time presentations by guest lecturers and University of St. Thomas faculty.

Minnesota Philosophical Society Spring Student Philosophy Conference - The Minnesota Philosophical Society hosts an annual Student Philosophy Conference in the Spring of each year. A different educational institution organizes and hosts the annual event. A call for papers is generally issued in February.

Please send papers on any philosophical topic of roughly 3,000 words to linda.canzanella@normandale.edu by April 1, 2011.

Presentations will be 20 minutes followed by prepared comments of 10 minutes and 15 minutes of open period question and answer.
