The number of H1N1 (or Influenza-Like-Illness) cases at the University of St. Thomas the third week of the semester has seen little to no change from previous weeks.
A total of 60 cases of H1N1 now have been reported with most students having fully recovered and returned to classes. The number of reported cases ranges between one and 13 per day. The vast majority of illnesses are experienced by students who do not live on campus. No distinct pattern or clusters of cases have been noted.
A weekly update on H1N1 activity in our community will be published on St. Thomas' Pandemic Web site. Any rapid increase or cluster of activity will be shared more immediately with the community via Bulletin Today or a Bulletin Update e-mail.
We continue to work closely with local, state and national health departments in monitoring this epidemic and will share pertinent information in these weekly updates.
