The University of St. Thomas has developed and continues to refine an emergency plan that allows the university to quickly respond in the event a pandemic influenza outbreak.
The University of St. Thomas plan outlines specific processes for managing an emergency that threaten the health and safety of the campus community and disrupt its programs and activities as a result of serious widespread influenza outbreak. The plan identifies departments and individuals that are directly responsible for emergency response and critical support services, and provides a management structure for coordinating and deploying essential resources.
The University's response to pandemic influenza is guided by the level of threat of a pandemic and builds upon existing internal and external supports. We continue to work closely with local, state, and federal individuals in refining the plan.
