"In addition to giving St. Thomas an advantage in the recruitment and retention of students, the new student center will be an inclusive and welcoming space that welcomes all community members in a vibrant and diverse environment.  The ballroom and other attractive gathering spaces in the student center will provide new opportunities for the university to bring in guest lecturers and programs to further enhance the co-curricular experience.  The new and flexible conference rooms will also help the marketing of our campus as a summer conference venue."
