Deans of St. Thomas schools and colleges are vital sources of strategic vision and new ideas. They keep their programs, and the university as a whole, "ahead of the curve" in quality. St. Thomas needs more deanships -- endowments that provide deans' compensation -- to help keep its institutional leadership competitive with those of other colleges and universities. Endowments also provide strategic funds to allow deans to develop new programs and projects.  more
