> Graduate Mentor Program
As a new graduate international student at the University of St. Thomas you will be paired up with one graduate mentor that is hired by the Office of International Student Services. The Graduate Mentor Program focuses more on hosting events or activities that pertain to graduate student needs such as career placement, getting through graduate school and living in the Twin Cities. The mentors we have hired in the past are current domestic and international graduate students at St. Thomas. You will meet your mentor for the first time during International Student Orientation and they will be available to you during your first semester at the University of St. Thomas. The graduate mentors that are hired by the Office of International Student Services will contact you twice a month either by emailing, calling or meeting you in person throughout your first semester at St. Thomas. The graduate mentors will also plan monthly events for you to participate in during your first semester here. Your mentor will provide support and assistance to you during your first semester at St. Thomas and we encourage you to participate in as many of our events as possible.
A few examples of the Graduate Mentor Program events that we have sponsored over the last year include:
- Dinner at local restaurants
- Holidazzle Parade
- Career advising sessions
Upcoming Events:
Aug. 26 - Game Night
Aug. 27 - Grand Avenue Walking Tour
Aug. 28 - Walker Art
