Hello everyone! If we haven't met, my name is Emily Kessel. This is my final year at UST, so I am looking forward to all the excitement that goes along with being a senior. I am majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Studio Arts: Drawing and Painting. Currently, I am studying abroad in Seoul, South Korea for the semester. As clique as this may sound, I honestly do love to travel and meet new people. There's so much to learn from talking and interacting with people from various backgrounds, so this is one reason I am looking forward to being an international mentor. I can't wait to meet all of you.

Hi and welcome to UST! My name is Sarah Farnes. I am a senior majoring in Political Science and Sociology. I grew up in a suburb of the Twin Cities and enjoy spending time in both Minneapolis and St. Paul; both cities have lots to offer. I enjoy traveling and have been to Eastern Europe (Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, and Lithuania), New Zealand, and am spending most of my summer in the southern United States. In my free time I like to read, hang out with friends, and I especially like to meet new people and experience new things. |

Hello everyone and welcome to St. Thomas! My name is Rachel and I am studying International Business. I previously spent a year and a half in India and I am also learning Hindi. My goal is to spend more time in India after I graduate and be fluent in the language--doing business between India and America. I have also spent time in Israel and plan on living there at some point also. I love traveling, seeing new places, and learning about different cultures. I am extremely open minded, independent, loving, and a warm individual. I took this job because I know how difficult it is to live in a foreign country and I am dedicated to making each of your experiences to be the best it can be. I look forward to meeting all of you! Safe journeys! |

My name is Nancy Lo. I am originally from Belize in Central America, but also have a rich heritage of Chinese and Hispanic cultures. My father hails from China and my mother from Honduras, so my household has been a fun atmosphere of different cultures. I came to America three years ago for the first time as a new international student at Viterbo University in La Crosse Wisconsin and was more scared than I have ever been before in my Life. With the help of great new friends and a strong support in the form of my host family I was able to get through my time at Viterbo with a lot of fun and happy memories and a Bachelors degree in Psychology. I am truly happy to have this position and feel that I can provide guidance through my own personal experience. |
