LOTT conference scholarships available for undergraduate women

The University Advocates for Women and Equity (formerly University Committee on Women) is able to offer six (and possibly more) scholarships for UST undergraduate women to attend the 2008 Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT) conference.

LOTT is a program of the League of Women Voters Education Fund. The 2008 LOTT conference, "Women Making a Difference in Public Policy," is a conference at which participants will meet Minnesota women leaders from the state legislature, courts, media and interest groups. Participants will attend skill-building workshops and a mentorship lunch with women involved in public policy.

The conference is designed to encourage undergraduate college and university women to participate in politics and public policy. Seminar dates are Thursday and Friday, Jan. 17-18, 2008. Seminar locations include the Minnesota State Capitol complex and the Plaza Park Hotel in Bloomington.

Five copies of the completed application as outlined below must be sent to the UAWE Coordinating Council at Mail #4075, or dropped off at the Luann Dummer Center for Women in Room 103, O'Shaughnessy Educational Center.
