Nominations accepted until Nov 18 for 2006 Tommie Award

The Tommie Award (formerly known as the Tommy Award and first presented as the "Mr. Tommy" award in 1931) is presented annually to a St. Thomas senior.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to nominate seniors whose scholarship, leadership and campus involvement make them worthy recipients of this award. Nominees must have senior status, graduate no later than December 2006 and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.

Nomination materials are available in the Office of the Dean of Students, Room 101, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, and the Campus Life office, Room 110, Murray-Herrick Campus Center. Required nomination materials include a photo to be taken by the university's Photo Services staff; three completed testimonial statements and a nominee profile.

Completed nomination materials must be returned to the Office of the Dean of Students, the Campus Life office or received by Mail #5041 no later than 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18. No late entries will be accepted.

Preliminary online voting will occur in December. Three finalists will be selected. Final voting will take place in February 2006. The Tommie Award will be presented on St. Thomas Day, March 4, 2006.
