Farheen Hakim has demonstrated her commitment to political
activity in her career as a community coordinator and in her past
positions as a community organizer and in education. She ran for
mayor in Minneapolis and finished a strong third in the primary with
14% of the vote.
This event is co-sponsored by the ACTC Middle Eastern Studies
Minor; the College of St. Catherine; the Dept. of Political Science
at Hamline University; Teaching for Global Citizenship (Faculty
Development), the Dept. of Political Science, and the Luann Dummer
Center for Women at the University of St. Thomas.
