Intercultural Retreat

The Intercultural Retreat takes place each fall semester and is designed to bring together 20-30 students for a weekend away from campus.

Targeting international students and American students who have traveled or plan to travel abroad, the weekend long event is designed to develop awareness of intercultural issues and incorporate intercultural philosophies into programming and community development. Students will discuss their cultures; develop skills to engage in intercultural dialogue; explore links between interculturalism and the University mission; and develop programs that will encourage interculturalism on campus while getting to know new people from the UST campus.

Where

This year’s retreat will take place at Luther Park Camping and Retreat Center located in Danbury, Wisconsin (about 2-1/2 hours from Twin Cities).

When

The retreat will be held from Friday, September 29 through Sunday, September 31, 2006. We will depart UST at 1pm Friday and will arrive back on campus by 1pm Sunday.

Who

International students and American students who have traveled or plan to travel abroad.
