3. CALL FOR WINTER BOOK VOLUNTEERS & INTERNS MCBA is looking for
volunteers and interns to help produce the 2005 Winter Book, an
anthology of work by regional poets and authors, edited by acclaimed
Minnesota writer and previous Winter Book author Bill Holm. This is
a great opportunity to broaden your bookish experience and find out
how the Winter Book magically transforms from a manuscript to fine
press editions.
Experienced printers are invited to apply for an internship in
September and October, when the Winter Book is scheduled to be
printed. Applicants should be familiar with printing editions,
identifying a good impression and determining the proper amount of
ink. Applicants must be willing to commit to 5-6 hours at a time, at
least once a week.
Volunteers with any level of experience are needed to help bind the
Winter Book editions in October and November.
For more information, please contact Jeff Rathermel at
jrathermel@mnbookarts.org.
