International health insurance
billing computer glitch
The University requires all
international students to purchase the University’s health
insurance plan. It is charged directly to your tuition and fees
bill unless you obtain a waiver based on comparable coverage.
We
found out that during the printing of the first tuition bill,
the automated script that charges the international health
insurance was never changed to reflect the current term. This
has been “activated” now, however, this means that your student
bill printed on August 23, 2005 will not have the insurance
charge. This charge will be reflected on the September bill.
If you want the St. Thomas insurance, you have been covered
even though you were not charged. If you want to waive it,
please fill out the waiver form by the deadline date of
September 23, 2005.
