OISS welcomes Arina Negoda

Please join us in welcoming Arina Negoda to the OISS Staff!  Arina has accepted the OISS Graduate Student Position (GSP) for the 04-05 academic year.  Arina has a degree from Karaganda State University in Kazakhstan and has extensive experience as an interpreter, translator, and English teacher.  Currently, Arina is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in English at the University of St. Thomas.
As an OISS Staff member, Arina will be responsible for Culture Link (a program to bring Americans and International Students together), coordinating the International Education Week (Oct. 4-8) and orientation sessions, and conducting research and assessment for OISS.  Her dynamic ideas and energy make her a great addition to our staff.  Welcome Arina!

Hello!
My name is Arina Negoda. I arrived from Kazakhstan two months ago to fulfill MA degree in English at St. Thomas. This is my second time in the US: I studied at the College of St. Catherine in 2001-2002 being a participant of the  Freedom Support Exchange program.
I am happy to have recently joined a great team of the OISS as a graduate assistant. You will be hearing from me a lot in connection with  the Culture Link program that is about to be launched. In addition to that, I will be working on various projects to make your life, as International students, even more interesting and exciting.
Feel free to e-mail me with any questions at aanegoda@stthomas.edu.
Have a fun and productive year!
Arina
