Welcome
from OISS
OISS would like to welcome all new and continuing International Students! You have overcome many obstacles to join us at St. Thomas. We acknowledge the experience, opinions, and customs you bring to St. Thomas and hope that you have an opportunity to not only learn about American culture and way of life, but also to learn more about yourself and your own culture. The University of St. Thomas is an environment in which to experience new things and to challenge yourself to become a better person by understanding and listening to others. The OISS staff hope you take advantage of opportunities and fully engage with your new surroundings. We look forward to helping you reach your goals and aspirations. Welcome to the University of St. Thomas!

Partners Program
Language Partners is a successful OISS program designed for International Students to enhance their adjustment to a new academic and cultural environment. The goal of this program is to smooth a cultural transition and facilitate the language proficiency through informal meetings with UST Faculty, Staff and students.
OISS is happy to announce the start of 2004-2005 Language Partners Program (LPP). We encourage all international students to sign up as LPP presents a unique opportunity to gain confidence in English while learning about the US culture and building friendships.
Expand your mind beyond the classroom setting: share your fascinating experience as an International Student with new friends. UST students, Faculty and Staff are eager to meet with You.
Sign up for the Language Partners Program at the OISS before Sept. 20 and start learning from your peers!
