Information
for taxes
Please find below information about the 2004 Income Tax Forms and Assistance for UST International Students and instructions for
Cintax, the tax software OISS has selected to help you file your taxes.
Email oiss@stthomas.edu to
receive a password to access Cintax. This information can also be found on our website at:
http://www.stthomas.edu/oiss/taxes/.
Tax Assistant and Professional:
We have hired St. Thomas student Cecile Aguilar as a tax assistant to work at OISS. She will help students with the following:
a) give basic information about the forms you must fill out and submit
b) help students to prepare to use Cintax on-line software
Her schedule will be online shortly at http://www.stthomas.edu/oiss/taxes/.
On the 4 days listed below, we are bringing tax professionals to our office who have been trained in international students’ tax forms and issues. They will give individual assistance to students to prepare your Federal tax forms. However, they will only assist students who have all their W-2 and 1042s in hand and have completed the basic information on the 8843 and 1040NR forms. Since this is a service that we are paying for and providing to students with limited income, the tax professionals will not assist students whose annual income is more than $20,000.
