The information below states the initial NSEERS regulations valid until December 2nd 2003. Please refer to the following page for current regulations.

Group 1

All non-immigrants who are nationals or citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan or Syria who are applying for admission to the United States on or after September 11, 2002 in a non-immigrant category other than those in A or G status
Special registration done at the time of admission to the U.S.

Any non-immigrant except those in A or G status who:

Is a male who is 16 years of age or older;
Is a national or citizen of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Sudan or Syria;
Was inspected by the DHS and was last admitted to the U.S. on or before September 10, 2002; and
Will remain in the U.S. at least until December 16, 2002.
Must complete Special Registration with DHS by December 16, 2002.

Any non-immigrant except those in A or G status who:

Is a male born on or before December 2, 1986;
Is a national or citizen of Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Eritrea, Lebanon, Morocco, North Korea, Oman, Qatar, Somalia, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, or Yemen;
Was inspected by the DHS and was last admitted to the U.S. on or before September 30, 2002; and
Will remain in the U.S. at least until January 10, 2003.
Must complete Special Registration with DHS by January 10, 2003.

Additions to Group 3:
Any non-immigrant except those in A or G status who:

Is a male who is sixteen years of age or older.
Is a national or citizen of Pakistan or Saudi Arabia.
Was inspected by the DHS and was last admitted to the U.S. on or before September 30, 2002; and Will remain in the U.S. at least until February 21, 2003.
Must complete Special Registration with DHS between January 13, 2003
and March 21, 2003.

Any non-immigrant except those in A or G status who:

Is a male born on or before February 24, 1987.
Is a citizen or national of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan or Kuwait.
Was inspected by the DHS and was last admitted to the U.S. as a non-immigrant on or before September 30, 2002
Did not have an application for asylum pending on January 16, 2003
Will remain in the U.S. at least until March 28, 2003.
Must complete Special Registration with DHS between February 24, 2003 and April 25, 2003.
