About Us - Julie Quello

Hi, my name is Julie Quello.  I am currently pursuing my MA in Leadership in Student Affairs program here at St. Thomas.  I am excited to be in this position because I get to meet so many wonderful students from places I’d love to visit someday. I studied abroad in Denmark and Germany and was a year-long volunteer in Argentina. Next on my list are Peru, India, Egypt, and China.

I also had the opportunity to intern in International Personnel at the ELCA’s churchwide office in Chicago. Most recently, I worked for four years as a Congregational Organizer for the Saint Paul Area Council of Churches. One of my favorite projects there was starting a national pilot project with the Search Institute and the Interfaith Youth Core called, Inspired to Serve: Interfaith Youth Led Action.  I’m a Gustie grad with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and Psychology.

A great day for me includes a good cup of coffee or tea in the morning, talking with students in OISS, running in Minnehaha Park, going for ice cream with friends, and watching the Daily Show
