Abigail S. Crouse

Associate General Counsel

Abigail Crouse is the associate general counsel of the University of St. Thomas. She joined St. Thomas in 2013.

Before joining St. Thomas, Abigail practiced law for eleven years with the Minneapolis law firm Gray Plant Mooty. As a shareholder at Gray Plant Mooty, she served as the co-chair of the firm’s higher education practice team. While in private practice, Abigail worked on a variety of legal matters, focused primarily in the areas of employment law and higher education law. Abigail’s experience includes litigation and dispute resolution, responding to charges of discrimination, internal investigations, policy drafting and review, and advising on a host of legal issues. Prior to joining Gray Plant Mooty, Abigail served as a law clerk for Judge Gerald W. Heaney of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Abigail received her bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she majored in political science and French. She graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the University of Minnesota Law School. Abigail has been named a Rising Star by Minnesota Law and Politics and is actively involved in the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
