Everyone has seen the ads for free Web sites and other offers for Internet access, but there always seems to be a catch or hidden cost. As a student at St. Thomas, you are given your own personal Web space free of charge.
“Great,” you say, “I have Web space but don’t know how to use it, access it, or even how to start making a Web page.”
The Learning Center can teach you these initial details and help you get your FrontPage Web site up and running. The center offers free training on the basics of designing a Web page and how to use FrontPage to create it.
You can post your resume on the Web (your new Web-site development skills can be included on that resume). The center also provides software training in “Scanning and Graphics,” “PowerPoint” and “Excel.”
