Wellness Center, STAR sponsor fall yoga classes

Power Vinyassa Yoga classes, sponsored by the Wellness Center and Star, start tomorrow.

Power Vinyassa Yoga heals, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind with emphasis on movement, balance and intention. This is a challenging form of Hatha Yoga that combines strength, movement and spirituality for everyone – beginner to advanced. It focuses on core strength, balance and flow to build a solid practice based on strength and spirit.

Classes will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursdays (begins Sept. 17) in the third-floor gym, O'Shaughnessy Hall.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a mat or towel to class. Experience is not required.

The first class in each session will be free to try. After the trial session, a punch card can be purchased anytime. Cost is $35 for faculty and staff and $20 for students. The card is valid for any six sessions.

Punch cards can be purchased at the Box Office, lower level, Murray-Herrick Campus Center, and at the Life-Work Center in Suite 110, Terrence Murphy Hall, Minneapolis campus.
