The Lunch at Luann's book group will meet Wednesday, July 29, to discuss People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks. Everyone is welcome.

Inspired by the true story of a mysterious codex known as the "Sarajevo Haggadah," this novel covers five centuries of history following the journey of a rare illuminated Hebrew manuscript from Spain to Sarajevo, and from Venice to northern Australia.

The event will be held from noon to 1 p.m. in the Luann Dummer Center for Women, Room 103, O'Shaughnessy Educational Center. Bring lunch and enjoy the discussion, even if you have not read the book.

Read a description of the book on Brooks' Web site.
