The Luann Dummer Center for Women has added Dr. Marie Lopez del Puerto to its advisory board. Del Puerto is a member of the Physics Department; she replaces Dr. Jill Manske, Biology Department.
Del Puerto was the coordinator for Women in Physics at the University of Minnesota from 2004 to 2006. While in that position she coordinated programs and submitted grants related to women in science.
"Board members would like to offer Dr. Manske their deep gratitude for the years of service she has given to the women's center," said Dr. Corrine Carvalho, director of the center. "Her presence will be missed."
