Each Wednesday, beginning Sept. 22, a large table will be designated as the “Community Table” at the Food for Thought restaurant in Terrence Murphy Hall, Minneapolis campus. Students, faculty and staff are invited to gather at the table and get acquainted. Plan to buy or bring a lunch, find a chair at the table and meet someone new.
The university’s Minneapolis campus is home to a community that comprises the College of Applied Professional Studies, Opus College of Business and the School of Law. More than 400 faculty and staff have Minneapolis campus offices and many more students attend classes on campus.
At the Wednesday Community Table, business students can meet law students and graduate students can meet education students. Faculty and staff are invited to step away from their desks and computers to meet campus colleagues. Everyone is welcome to practice networking skills and get to know some of the people you pass in the halls. Each week will be a new mix of connections.
