A St. Thomas student group, the Public Relations Society Student Association, will hold a walkathon to raise money for leukemia and lymphoma research from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at the Como Lake Pavilion in St. Paul.

A free shuttle bus will pick up participants from UST’s Lot H starting at 1 p.m. and continuing until 4 p.m.

Van and Cheryl, morning hosts of KS95/94.5 FM radio, will be on hand and Rich and the Resistors, a local band, will provide music. Participants will have a chance to win prizes such as gift certificates, clothing, and much more. Grand prize is a $1,600 treadmill.

Donated money will go toward efforts to provide financial assistance to patients, education to people about the disease and research directed toward finding a cure.
