Volunteer ushers needed for graduate, undergraduate commencement ceremonies
It’s only St. Patrick’s Day but before long commencement will be here and thousands of guests will fill the St. Thomas campus for graduate and undergraduate ceremonies.
Once again, volunteers will be needed to welcome guests on Saturday, May 23, and to help make the ceremonies a special event for everyone.
The graduate ceremony begins at 10 a.m. in Schoenecker Arena with volunteers arriving at 8:3o a.m. The undergraduate ceremony begins at 2 p.m. in O’Shaughnessy Stadium with volunteers arriving at noon.
"Because the ceremonies take place on Memorial Day weekend, we anticipate that many guests and visitors will attend the commencement ceremonies, and we greatly appreciate and need as many volunteers as possible," said Jeff Kasimor, University Relations.
To volunteer, e-mail Kasimor by Wednesday, April 1. A quick response is appreciated so planning for these special events can proceed.
