Visitation is Tuesday, Funeral Wednesday for Sophomore Gregory Marzolf Jr. St. Thomas Newsroom April 17, 2000 Please remember in your prayers Gregory G. Marzolf Jr., a University of St. Thomas sophomore who died of respiratory failure late Thursday night, April 13. Greg, 20, suffered from muscular dystrophy most of his life and was the youth ambassador for the state chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He died at his home in the Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul; with him were his parents, Patricia and Gregory Sr.; his brother, Patrick; and his sister, Jennifer. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, 1668 Montreal Ave. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, located at Cleveland and Bohland avenues. Burial will be at Acacia Park Cemetery, followed by a reception at Cretin-Derham Hall High School. A 1998 graduate of Cretin-Derham Hall High School, he was majoring in English at St. Thomas.
