VISION offers memorable, life-changing spring break service trips

Looking for a memorable experience over spring break? With it right around the corner, it is never too early to start planning.

Volunteers In Service Internationally Or Nationally (VISION) offers not only a memorable experience but also a life-changing experience.

VISION service-immersion trips provide students opportunities to be fully integrated into a community and culture different from their own, while connecting with other St. Thomas students in their group. Based on six components – spirituality, simplicity, cultural exchange, community, justice issues, and service – VISION offers students an experience to learn and reflect about their own lives and the lives of others.

VISION will be going to seven sites during spring break:

  • U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Cranks Creek, Ky.
  • Pence Springs, W.Va.
  • San Luis Valley, Colo.
  • White Earth Reservation, northern Minnesota
  • Fort Belknap Reservation, Mont.
  • Washington, D.C.

To learn more about the program and specific sites, attend one of the remaining information sessions:

  • Thursday, Feb. 7 – noon to 1 p.m., JRC 222
  • Sunday, Feb. 10 – noon to 1 p.m., MHC 152

Applications must be delivered between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Room 153, MHC – no earlier or later.
