Hourcars at UST are back on the road again

The Hourcars at UST are back on the road again following service repairs. Repairs to the two 2010 Prius Hourcars were  dictated by a Toyota recall following reports of brake malfunctions.

Two 2010 Toyota Prius Hourcars are available by the hour or by the day at UST's St. Paul campus.

“Safety is our first priority, so we took the cars out of service when it became clear that there was a problem and before Toyota issued its recall,” says Hourcar Program Manager Christopher Bineham. “We’re pleased that Toyota was able to identify a fix so quickly, allowing us to get the cars back on the road safely within a week.”

The Hourcars at UST are located near the science and engineering buildings on the south campus, and in Lot A at Selby and Finn on the north campus in St. Paul.

Through Feb. 28, UST students, faculty and staff can join Hourcar without paying the standard $50 application fee. For details on the program and membership information, see a recent story in Bulletin Today or visit the Hourcar Web site.
