UST publishes policy regarding classes on Minnesota caucus night

The University of St. Thomas values and encourages civic engagement by all of the members of the community; however, the timing and format of Minnesota caucus night create a conflict between the university's commitment to provide instruction and the ability of individuals to attend a caucus.

In recognition of this, the university policy has been and continues to be that classes are not to be canceled on the night of the Minnesota caucus, but that faculty should make reasonable accommodations for students who choose to attend a caucus instead of class. There should be no penalty incurred by students who elect to attend a caucus instead of class. Students are obligated to take steps to mitigate the impact of having missed class.
