  • "Chaska private school teacher honored," Star Tribune, Dec. 11, 2008.   "Amy Gallus of Guardian Angels School is among those receiving the 2009 Distinguished Teacher Award from the Department of Elementary Schools of the National Catholic Educational Association. Gallus, 39, of Norwood Young America, has been at Guardian Angels since 2001 and has been teaching middle school since 1994. While teaching full time, she completed her master's and education specialist's degrees at the University of St. Thomas. He also attended a training academy for new university presidents put on by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. The concert will be broadcast by hundreds of public television stations nationwide during the holiday season. Check local listings for broadcasts by your public television station. Among participating students are: J.R. Mackey, Grand Rapids, bass in liturgical choir; Josh Anderson, Hibbing, concert and men's choir; Katy Cassingham, Hibbing, concert and women's choir; Nikita Wilmers, concert and women's choir; and John Hillman, Duluth, concert and men's choir.
