  • “Post-high school pathfinders,” St. Paul Pioneer Press, Nov. 20, 2005. “[Chris] Wills, who attended Sauk Centre High School, said he had no clear path for his future. He didn't know how to apply for scholarships or financial aid. He didn't know his college options. And he didn't select one until right before he started his freshman year. Despite his confusion, he ended up at the University of St. Thomas. He played basketball, graduated with a journalism degree, and started his own business, which is now profitable and growing at a 20 percent clip. He said the GM cuts are a symbol of the overall decline in the prospects for people who once aspired to well-paid jobs in elite manufacturing firms. ‘Nobody's going to replace those kinds of salaries and fringe benefits,’ Zimmerman said. ‘We're not going to make it up with people working at Target and Wal-Mart. Greenless scored the winning goals in both games during the Tommies' sweep of St. Mary's. St. Thomas' Jackie Carroll of St. Paul was the women's MIAC player of the week.
