UST Amateur Radio Club Christmas party, meeting is tomorrow

Faculty, staff and students are welcome to the St. Thomas Amateur Radio Club monthly meeting and holiday party at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, in Room 304, Murray-Herrick Campus Center (Murray Hall Lounge). Socializing will begin at 7 p.m.

After the business meeting, Steve Huntsman, amateur radio call sign AAØP, will give a presentation on the Pactor, Winlink 2000 and Airmail amateur radio communications protocols. You will learn how he used Pactor, Airmail and Winlink2000 to stay in touch during a three-week sailboat trip last autumn from Anacortes, Wash., to Prince Rupert, British Columbia, and see photos from the trip.

For more information about the meeting or the UST Amateur Radio Club, contact Dr. Tom Sturm, amateur radio call sign N0BGO, (651) 962-5479.
