Tania Nunez

Tania Nunez welcomes the campus community to Uruguay at today's CultureLink Tea.

The CultureLink Tea series features different countries in monthly presentations. Free and open to everyone, today’s presentation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. in Room 202, Anderson Student Center. Tea and Uruguayan desserts will be available.

Nunez grew up in a small town in northeastern Uruguay and since has moved near the capital, Montevideo. She taught high school level English language courses for seven years. In her free time she enjoys photography, walking outside, listening to music, being with friends and working on graphic design.

She arrived in the United States last August and since then has been busy learning about new places, modes of transportation, jobs, classrooms and meeting new people. She works in the UST Spanish Department and takes two courses on St. Thomas’ Minneapolis campus. In Minnesota she has discovered new interests – hockey, basketball and ice skating!

Additional CultureLink Teas will be held this spring from 3 to 4 p.m. in Room 202, Anderson Student Center; mark your calendar:

  • Wednesday, March 14
