Energetic and creative leaders are needed to serve on the executive board, helping recruit participants, planning fundraising events and having a fun time while helping to save the lives of children with catastrophic diseases. E-board members have the opportunity to lead one of the largest groups on campus; cultivate management, planning and marketing skills; beef up their résumés; meet new people; and work for a worthy cause. Positions range from morale chairs, catering, entertainment, public relations, recruiting, sponsorship, finance, Web, to team chairs and more. Applications are available online here or by e-mailing Lauren Felmlee. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, May 5. St. Jude is one of the leading cancer research facilities in the world and it shares its findings with the global community free of charge. The hospital treats patients from all 50 states and more than 70 countries at no cost to the patients’ families. No patient pays beyond what insurance covers, and patients without insurance are never asked to pay. At UST, Up ’til Dawn’s two main events are a letter-sending fundraising party in the fall, and an all-night finale celebration in the spring. This year, more than 400 Tommies came together and raised more than $70,000 for the children of St. Jude. E-mail Felmlee for more information.
