The University Advocates for Women and Equity is providing scholarships for undergraduate or graduate women to attend a series of presentations offered by the Minnesota League of Women Voters. The first part of the series, titled “Mission Possible: Don’t Let Insecurities Sabotage Your Job Search,” will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The event begins at 7 p.m. in Joule, 1200 Washington Ave. S., Minneapolis.
Attendees will be given the opportunity to hear from employment experts and receive advice on how to overcome their insecurities and make a great impression. The information from this panel is applicable to anyone in their career field, whether they are just beginning their job search or transitioning to a new position.
Students interested in attending the presentation should email Dr. Susan Myers by Monday, Feb. 20. The second part of the series is scheduled for April 17; details will be forthcoming.
