The Department of Manufacturing Systems and Engineering, in partnership with Third Wave Systems, is offering a two-day Short Course on Modeling Metal Cutting. The course will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 19 and 20, in the computer lab, Room LL10, O’Shaughnessy Science Hall, Frey Science and Engineering Center. An hourlong reception will follow the sessions on Wednesday. The cost of the course is $895.

This will be a hands-on course using AdvantEdge software to model metal-cutting applications. Sessions will cover topics such as: Modeling Basics, Industry Applications and Use, Advanced Techniques and Applied Results, and Introduction to Material Modeling.
