Tommies’ ‘Day Off’ is Sunday St. Thomas Newsroom October 16, 2008 St. Thomas Tommies’ Day Off is Sunday The St. Thomas Orientation Team invites new transfer and international students to take an afternoon off from studying before midterms at Tommies’ Day Off. The social event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Women’s Transfer Student House, 2110 Summit Ave. In keeping with the theme of the event, the classic 1980’s hit "Ferris Bueller’s Day Off" will be shown, and hot chocolate, cider and an assortment of bars and cookies will be served. The event is free for all new international and transfer students. Re-acquaint yourself with the orientation team, meet new friends and visit with old ones from your first days at St. Thomas.
